Lisa Liebold, Registered Polysomnography Technologist

Lisa Leibold


Lisa is a polysomnography technologist who works at Braaten Health's REM Center.  She has four years of experience in the sleep medicine field and her professional background includes performing PSGs (sleep studies), Scoring of PSGs, and performing EEGs (electroencephalograms). 

She specializes in:
  • Outpatient diagnostic testing for sleep disorders (mainly sleep apnea)
  • Treatment for sleep apnea including titrations with CPAP, BiPAP, Auto SV, AVAPS, & VPAPS
  • CPAP mask fitting
  • Patient Education 
  • Quality, compassionate patient care
Her interest in this field developed after losing her job of 25 years due to the current economy.  She also wanted  to learn more about neuroanatormy to help better manage her migraine headaches.  


Lisa holds a degree in
  • Associate in Applied Science for Electroneurodiagnostic Technology, graduating from Scott Community College in August of 2007.
  • Keeps her registry current by attending conferences to stay up to date and current with the ever changing trends of the sleep medicine field
  • Belongs to American Association of Sleep Technologists (AAST), Iowa Sleep Society, and Iowa Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists (IAET)
She earned her RPSGT in January of 2008 after passing board exams.   


When not caring for patients at Braaten Health, she can be found spending time with her son, scrapbooking, watching NASCAR, reading, playing with her dog and 2 cats, fishing, and participating in a variety of different sports.  Favorite thing to do - sleeping  :)
